Thursdays 12:30-2:30pm ET, Nerissa runs workshops tailored to fiction writers. Novelists, short-story writers, YA, Middle-Grade, Children’s, flash, anything goes as long as it’s a lie. (Though Pam Houston says her fiction is 82% true, as is her non-fiction. You will have plenty of latitude in Nerissa’s class to write your truth within the umbrella of fiction.) As with all her workshops, we’ll begin with a short prompt, meant to be kindling for your muse, and then we’ll write silently for an hour. During the second hour, writers share up to 500 words and receive feedback on what is working in their piece.

  • One-on-One Coaching with Nerissa Nields

    Nerissa works with writers at every stage of the creative process, from brainstorming ideas, to helping the writer develop a sustainable practice, to coaching writers around emotional blocks, to making suggestions for publication and placement of individual projects. She has written in many genres, including non-fiction, poetry, plays, songwriting, blogging, essays, short stories, nonfiction books and novels.
