On Tuesday evenings, from 6-7:30pm Little Blue Studio as well as the Writing It Up in the Garden Zoom room will be open for all members of Nerissa’s writing groups and Substack subscribers.
Format: 6pm prompt, followed by silent writing.
7pm, a half-hour reading by members of Morning Seeding & Tending.
I have been hearing from you that you would like more opportunities to gather and to read. I, too, need this–I think in this particular season of grief and uncertainty, community is going to save us. Or at least sustain us.
To this end, I’m offering a less-expensive writing group on Tuesday nights, and it will differ from the usual writing groups in a few ways.
-Though we will begin with a prompt, as we always do, and then write for the first hour, instead of sharing with responses afterwards, there will be a reading exactly like the one we did on Zoom last month, i.e. a half hour long, six readers reading for 5 minutes apiece. Feedback in the chat.
-First dibs for reader sign ups go to Morning Seeding & Tending members! If there is space, writers who attend my weekly groups may sign up as well.
And the final meeting of the group on Dec 17 will be a holiday potluck read-a-thon.
-Cost of the full program is free to any member of Morning Seeding & Tending––part of the $20 a month the program costs.
