Audience at Jammin Java
The leaves are coming!
Katryna, L, J and I are in Virginia visiting parents/grandparents. Last night we played a show at Jammin Java’s; something about playing to our original hometown fills us with extra joy. Today we are going to look at the forsythia.

Yesterday before I left, I began April Music Month by eschewing NPR for Vladimir Horowitz. I’ve noticed recently, a la Katrina Kennison, that more is less in terms of aural real estate in our mornings and evenings, so we find ourselves turning the radio off at some point during mealtimes––earlier and earlier these days––anyway. I found one of my all time favorite CDs–Horowitz Plays Mozart, which Katryna gave me for Christmas in 1988. I notice that whenever I play “classical” music, Lila notices and says, “Mama, what’s this! Oh, it’s PRETTY!”
