Deposits and Cancellation Policy

For: Writing It Up in the Garden Retreats:

For a spot to be held, a 50% deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable, but may be applied to a future retreat in the event the retreatant is unable to attend and gives at least two week’s advance notice, prior to the beginning of retreat start date. If cancelation occurs after the two week advance notice period the deposit will be forfeited. If cancelation of registration is necessary, please give as much advance notice as possible so another retreatant may be offered the opportunity to participate.

No refund will be given if a retreatant leaves early or arrives late.

The outstanding balance of payment is due on Friday evening upon arrival at the retreat.

 

For Writing It Up in the Garden 10 week workshops:

 

For returning writers:

Participants will be asked of their intentions to return to the next session at the sixth meeting of the current 10 week session. By the seventh week’s meeting, returning participants will be expected to register and if possible, give a deposit at that time. To assure a spot in the next session deposit must be received no later than two weeks prior to the next session start date.

Deposits are non-refundable, but it may be applied to a future workshop or retreat if the writer needs to cancel and gives at least two weeks advance notice prior to the scheduled 10 week workshop start date. Full tuition is due on Day One of the 10 week session. No refund will be given if a writer leaves the group before the end of 10 weeks session.

For new writers:

Deposits are required upon notification of acceptance into the group; if possible, please pay within 5 days of notification. This deposit is non-refundable but may be applied (as stated above if that’s the case). Full tuition is due on Day One of the 10 week session. No refund will be given if a writer leaves the group before the end of the 10 week session.

Special arrangements for payment may be made under certain circumstances. For consideration, please speak directly to Nerissa who will be reasonable. Arrangements however must be made at least one week before the session begins.

Bartering will not be considered as an alternative to payment.

Writing It Up in the Garden has three annual workshops, and several retreats:

Winter Session: January – March (10 weeks)

Northampton Retreat in January

Spring Session: April – June (10 weeks)

Summer Session: no session, but weeklong Summer Writing Camp in July
